Virtual Fall Programs with STEMSpark!

 Kids have a natural curiosity that lends itself to science, technology, math, and engineering. At STEMSpark, we aim to inspire young children to build on their innate desire for answers by exploring STEM concepts in a fun, hands-on way. We offer a wide variety of STEM programs for the youngest learners.

In order to provide innovative, safe and fun programs within the guidelines provided by the state and local health authorities, we are excited to offer virtual fall programs for ages 2 - 8.

This slate of limited-size virtual programs, with virtual workshops and opportunities to share and explore, begins October 8th!

 

EXPLORER PROGRAMS

AGES 2-8 AND A CAREGIVER

30 MINUTES EACH @ 11:00AM

These programs are designed for learners ages 2-8 and their caregivers to explore science, and engineering ideas together! Programs are intended to provide you with an appropriate amount of on screen socialization, daily activities and prompts to explore. Maximum 10 scientists per class. Login and materials list will be sent prior to the program.

Bubble Chemistry

Bubble Chemistry

Join a STEMSpark educator to be a bubble scientist! In this 30-minute interactive Zoom class we will investigate the physical and chemical properties of bubbles by exploring bubble shapes, sizes and colors. Children will practice science skills like making observations, testing out hypotheses, and using different tools throughout this class.

KidSpark Classes are recommended for ages 3-8 and we encourage grown-up science helpers to join!

 A simple materials list for the hands-on portions will be emailed upon registration.

Science can be messy! We recommend a water-friendly area for these activities.

Science Superheroes!
Science Superheroes!

Join a STEMSpark educator to be a science superhero! In this 30-minute interactive Zoom class we will use chemistry to solve a variety of mysteries and make our own slime! Children will practice science skills like making observations, classifying materials, testing out hypotheses, and using different tools throughout this class.

KidSpark Classes are for ages 3-8 and grown-ups are encouraged to join!

A simple materials list for the hands-on portions of this class will be emailed upon registration.

Science can be messy! We recommend a slime-friendly area for these activities.

Float, Sink and Engineer!

Join a STEMSpark educator to be an engineer! In this 30-minute interactive Zoom class we will investigate objects that sink or float in water and use the engineering design cycle to make our own floating creations. Children will practice creativity and problem-solving skills through this fun design challenge!

KidSpark Classes are recommended for ages 3-8 and we encourage grown-up science helpers to join!

Join a STEMSpark educator to be an engineer! In this 30-minute interactive Zoom class we will enter the world of classic fairytales and use the engineering design cycle to solve problems for some of our favorite characters. Children will practice planning, building, and testing through these fun design challenges!

KidSpark Classes are recommended for ages 3-8 and we encourage grown-up science helpers to join!

Join a STEMSpark educator to be a chemist! In this 30-minute interactive Zoom class we will investigate the properties of water and color mixing by making our own capillary action snowflakes and snowpals! Children will practice science skills like making observations, testing out hypotheses, and using different tools throughout this class.
